What is the Quetzal in ARK

The flight itself is a casual flight, as this creature tends to fly somewhat slowly. Although if we surprise them or try to attack, we can see that it has the ability to reach really high speeds. So we must not underestimate their ability to be fast. Of course, after a few seconds after that attack or surprise, you will see how it moves at normal speed again.
As for appearance, this Quetzal is the largest flying animal ever found on the island. It is a giant pteranodon, which has a long, crested neck. We are faced with creatures that are solitary and have a powerful flight, flying all over the map to perch and feed. It is important to know that these are animals that are carnivores, since they feed mainly on fish and small game extracted from the ground. Furthermore, they are also capable of annihilating.

If you already have a first Quetzal, then things are different, the reality is that the second then becomes something much simpler. But this is not something that all users can say, unfortunately. Those who do not yet have access to a tamed Quetzal will have to make use of some of the following in-game strategies, which could be helpful in this regard. It is important that we are not going to hit this beast on the water, since otherwise it runs the risk of drowning. Also, we have to keep in mind that rare flowers are not something that will work against this beast in ARK. So we shouldn't bother using them.
50/50 fault
A bug known to players in ARK that has a huge impact on the Quetzal. When you're about to tame one of these creatures, but it doesn't work well and you scare it instead, you are going to see that this creature then travels to coordinates 50,50 on any of the maps. Tapejara strategy for two players
This is a version of the previous one, which in this case is intended for two players to carry out. Now all you need to do is a tribe mate, a tapejara and a way to put this creature to sleep. You have to put in a large amount of resistance points to maximize the time available before you are forced to land with the tapejara.
In addition, it is important that you go to make sure also have some raw meat in Tapejara. You have to ask your fellow tribesman to ride on the back of a Tapejara chair and equip his tranquilizer method. When you find the Quetzal, fly forward but still within range and have your tribemate go then open fire on this creature.
Tamear with Argentavis
This is a really excellent method for taming a low-level Quetzal. To be able to tame a Quetzal using only an Argentavis, you are going to need an Argentavis with a saddle, a grapple, a rifle with tranquilizer darts, a parachute and food to tame this creature. So you have to make sure that you really have everything before you start.
When you have found a Quetzal, jump from the Argentavis with the parachute and quickly you have to grab the Argentavis using the hook. Use the attack whistles to get close and chase the Quetzal in this case. Now you can shoot him using your rifle. - Collector: the Quetzal can carry a Therizinosaur, Doedicurus, Ankylosaurus or Gigantopithecus that a member of the tribe could ride while carrying it. One flies the bird, while the other is in charge of collecting resources. It is a method that works well and collects many objects in a few minutes.
- Fishing stand: The long beak of the Quetzal is designed to reach the water from above and this is something that allows it to collect large quantities of fish easily.
- Hunting platform: When you go down, you only have to climb on the back of the Quetzal, from where you can shoot with ranged weapons. Firearms work best in this case.
