The rank system in CS: GO is complex
The rank system used in Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) is not straightforward. Since a game alone is not going to have a great influence on your results. If you are a constant player, that maintains stable values, your rank is going to stay more or less the same. A very good game or a very bad one will not make your rank change radically.
